BOXX exists because buying Microsoft licences is harder than it should be, and because the difficulty is profitable for everyone except the customer.
Ask three Microsoft resellers for a price on 200 seats of Microsoft 365 E3 and you will get three different numbers, none of them published, all of them dependent on how much you seem to know. The margin sits inside a bundle. The "strategic discount" appears only when you threaten to leave. And the support you were promised turns out to be a ticket form.
That model works because Microsoft's licensing catalogue is genuinely complicated — there are thousands of SKUs, several licensing programmes, and rules about what includes what that change every year. Complexity is the product being sold.
BOXX takes the opposite position. We publish one discount per product family, apply it to everyone, put the whole price list on the website, and make our margin on volume and on services people actually want to buy. If that means we make less per customer, fine — we intend to make it up on customers who stay.
Microsoft's Cloud Solution Provider programme pays partners a margin on the licences they resell, plus incentives linked to customer growth, retention and workload adoption. Independent industry reporting puts typical indirect reseller net margins at roughly 10–15% on Microsoft 365 subscriptions and 3–8% on Azure consumption.
BOXX passes roughly half of that back as the published discount — 8% off Microsoft 365 list, 4% off Azure — and retains the balance. What remains funds the support desk, the audit team and the business. Three service lines carry the rest of the P&L:
That last point is the one we would ask you to weigh most heavily. A supplier paid a percentage of your Azure consumption has no reason to help you cut it.
Growing businesses that want Business Premium pricing without a reseller relationship built on golf.
Organisations moving to E3/E5 who need the licence mix designed properly, not maximised.
Anyone spending five figures a month in Azure who has never had the bill independently reviewed.
We are probably not the right fit if you need on-site engineers in a specific city every week, if you require a single supplier for hardware, networking and Microsoft together, or if your organisation qualifies for non-profit or education pricing that no commercial reseller can beat — in which case we will tell you so on the first call.
